Wedding of the Century

WOW!! What a weekend!!! It was a crazy busy weekend and I can't believe Jess is NOW MARRIED!!

Saturday, the ceremony at Van Dusen went off without any problems and it was a beautiful (thankfully quick) ceremony. It was a really hot day and the guests were melting in the heat but the ceremony didn't take that long. It was a very beautiful event and Jess was gorgeous in her wedding gown. After the ceremony, Felicia and I had to stay behind to make sure everything was picked up or removed, we headed over to Corner 23 for a nice icy boba tea and lunch! Reception 1 at Floata Restaurant - WOW, the decor was gorgeous, it did not look like a chinese restaurant!! The decor was amazing and white fabric covered every corner of the restaurant, you could not see any reference of Floata. I had never been to Floata so I had no idea what the restaurant looked like but did see it at the end of the party, it was like the clock hit midnite (or in this case, 130am) and everything turned back into a pumpkin! The restaurant is UGLY and oh gosh, I can see why Jess had to redecorate the entire restaurant. The dinner party was so much fun and these people know how to party hard and have fun. It was awesome to hear G dj'ing even though he isn't a hip hop dj. After the reception, we headed over to Kingsway / Victoria to an after party cos B's sis, Jenny, had arranged a party after the dinner party! We stayed until about 3am before we all called it a nite.

Sunday - headed over to Metrotown to exchange some tank tops at Old Navy and walk thru the mall as I waited for Rhoda. She was meeting me at Metro cos she was going to give me a ride back to her house so I could pick my car (left it there last nite cos I was too tired to drive home from the after party). We met up at Shoppers Drug Mart but had an hour to walk thru the mall cos her cousin and aunt were enjoying the air conditioning, it was another super hot day in Vancouver. We headed over to Aritzia to see what was on sale and I ended up picking a Community denim jacket for $60!!! Once we were done, we headed back to her house and I picked up my car to go home cos it was too hot to do anything else!

Monday - Reception #2 at Kirin Restaurant on Cambie street, we didn't have to do too much at this restaurant cos it's not an ugly restaurant, we just decorated the signing table up front, the alter at the front of the restaurant, fixed up and place all the center pieces on the tables, decorated the cake table with feathers and made sure every single place had a wedding favour. It was a smooth night and much more relaxed and mellowed out from Saturday's reception. The food was super yummy and it was an early night, dinner finishing around 10pm. Kay and I sat at the table with Rhoda's friends in the back corner and it's too bad we were so far back cos we couldn't see anything that was happening at the head table. But it seemed like they had left a lot of things out cos Jess and B had already done those things like speeches and first dance at their first reception. There wasn't much room in the restaurant to do the first dance tho cos the restaurant was packed with 21 tables! It was a nice reception and good to catch up with everyone and the little boys!

Rehearsal and Dinner at Kits Beach

Tonite, the wedding party met at the commissioner's house to hold a "rehearsal" altho it wasn't a rehearsal, it was more like a questions and answer session. The commissioner basically did a run down of how she would proceed with the ceremony and she made it very clear that she did not want to discuss anything about the wedding that did not involve her. I hope without a real rehearsal that it's going to go well. But I guess it shouldn't be too hard to walk down an aisle, say your vows and I dos and sign some paperwork! After the meeting, we walked over to Kits beach for dinner at the closest restaurant to us, the Watermark, to discuss and finalize the details for the wedding. There were some misunderstandings, some more complaints and a whole lot of stressing, well Rhoda was more pissed off than stressed due to B's complaints and demands. But I think everything will work out and if it doesn't go as timely sloted or planned, it's a wedding! No stress, enjoy the day and it's not her wedding, it's Jess and B's day so if they aren't too stressed about it, well neither should she! Can't wait for this wedding to be done with so Rhoda can finally take a break!

Super Sunday

Wow, what a day! First off, it was another super hot day in Vancity, sweltering melting hot! (Rumor has it, weather record breaking beginning on Monday, oh no!) I helped Rhoda clean the top floor of her house cos she has a bunch of out of town guests arriving this week for Jess's wedding. I can't believe she's getting married in a matter of days!! It is so exciting! Gosh, the top floor of the house was so hot but we managed with all the windows opened and the huge fan (thank you auntie for pulling that one out!) blowing in our face. After re-organizing all their stuff, Rhoda finished off the rest while I helped Jes with her chandelier project. She arrived home after we had started the 2nd room and was measuring out her jewels for her chandelier with the help of her mom. Originally, she received a quote on a custom chandelier for her wedding receptions and it was going to cost $2500!! To save some money, she had another company (in the US) to custom make the frame and ordered the jewels from Asia in bulk which ended up only costing her $650!! It was a lot of work which consisted of measuring and cutting the jewels off the roll, by the end of the night we had finished her 6 rolls of jewels. She didn't have her glue gun to glue them onto the frame but when she does, it's going to look gorgeous! After a long day and night, I headed home around 10pm and when I got home, my mom told my brother (he came by for a visit) and I something unexpected but expected (grams let the secret out of the bag to me a couple of weeks ago). My mom had an emergency a couple of months ago and it seems that it's not over yet. She went for a follow up and it seems that she has a few health issues, one is shingles (which she is taking meds for and will subdue it), a kidney stone in her left kidney that needs to be removed, a tumor or water bubble in her right kidney (going for more testing) and a "seed" in her intestine which the doctors are not quite sure what it is (also going for more testing). It's pretty scary but it does not seem life threatening which is a great relief. My mom was a bit disappointed that my grams couldn't keep the secret but my poor grams was sooo worried about my mom these past couple of weeks of course she had to tell someone! I'm sure my mom will be fine, we are all keeping a close eye on her.

Wedding Do-it-yourself & Dinner with Highschool Friend

This afternoon around 2pm, Jes came by to pick me up so we could finish the project we started last nite. On her way to pick me up, she picked up a couple of viet subs from Ba Le Sandwich Shop on Kingsway (close to Fraser) cos they have the best viet subs in Vancouver - oh my super yummy, haven't had one of these in a long time! We decided to eat our subs before starting on the project and good thing cos it took us 4 hours to complete the project. It was completely finished but we got most of it done, all that is left to do is to decorate the top of the box. Rhoda and I had dinner plans around 7pm with an old highschool friend whom I haven't seen in 10 years. Raymond arrived back in Vancouver earlier in the year with his new wife, he left for Hong Kong years ago and decided (once he got married) to raise his family in Vancouver. We had a great time catcing up on life in general and it was so nice to meet his shy wife. We will try to do dinner or dessert more often cos good friends are hard to come by esp ones you've known since highschool!

IKEA - Furniture Assembly

After Taste of the City, I rested a bit at home and caught up on some chores before heading over to Rhoda's place. I was to help her with furniture shopping at IKEA but I didn't get home until after 5pm so she headed over there with her mom first. After resting and some salad for dinner, I went over there to help her put together the futon she picked up for the out of town guests staying at their house for Jes's upcoming wedding. Wow, I can't believe how fast the time has gone by, her wedding is in 2 weeks! Rhoda and I assembled the futon with some difficulty (hate IKEA tools!) but we figured it out and finished it right before Jes arrived. Jes had a money box project and I helped her put together the box (she picked up from Daiso) and applied the material for the cover, she had some samples for the wedding decorations. She is going to apply some crystals along the side of the box and flowers/feathers to decorate the top of the box but we didn't get that far cos she ran out of glue for her glue gun. As I was working on the box, there were some discussions about seating arrangements at the Kirin reception, it was getting a bit stressful and tense but in the end it was figured out. While discussing other items for the wedding, Jes decided we should go for dessert at Honey Dessert House cos we were all getting a bit hungry by this hour (1am!). This place opens late and after some dessert and dumplings, it was time to call it a nite cos it was 2am!

Bridal Shower

Today we threw a bridal shower for Jess! It was a surprise but I think she figured it out when she drove down the street and couldn't find any parking! Plus we had decorations all over the front yard and gate. It turned out to be a very warm (hot 21C) and nice day - thank goodness the weather was so nice as Rhoda was throwing a BBQ Bridal Shower. Yesterday we had rain and it was cool this morning but the sun came out and it was super hot! Kay and I headed over there a bit earlier to help Rhoda decorate and set up for the party. Party guests started to arrive by 1pm and most where there before Jess arrived at 1.30. There were games with small gifts, lots of food - thank you Kent for being the only male (not including Nolan) and being a fantastic chef! It was a great day filled with presents, laughter and good times, I think it might have been the best bridal shower ever!!

Cake Tasting & Mexican Dinner

Today, I met up with Jess and Rhoda for a cake tasting for her dream wedding cake! She found a wedding cake in one of the windows of a hotel in Las Vegas and she wanted the cake to be duplicated. It's an extravagant wedding cake which fits the theme of her wedding, feathers and it's also very unique! Many of the cake contacts would not or could not make the cake but Sweet Thea gave her a few options and one of them was to make a fake cake! What a great idea since the wedding cake is on a very grand scale. Plus to bake such a large cake would cost thousands of dollars (I assume)! After discussing the details with Thea, we headed back to the condo before deciding on where to eat and drove into the West End. Denman street was packed with traffic so we decided to exit (thru an alley) and ended up on Robson street. Rhoda mentioned a new Mexican restaurant on Robson so we decided to try it out. Gosh it was so delish! I have never heard or seen this place but it's got good authentic and inexpensive Mexican food, Don Guacamole's on Robson - a must try! (If you can get a table, this place is PACKED!!) After dinner, Jess dropped us off at the skytrain station and took the train back. I can't believe Jess is getting married in 6 weeks!!!

Weekend in San Francisco

What a weekend we had in San Francisco! It was so nice to get away for the weekend and spend time with good friends. I wish we had a bit more time though cos it went by so fast! I will def have to go back and visit plus the plane ride wasn't too long, only 2 hours there and 2 hours and 20 back. There was so much but I'll just write the highlights of each day!

Friday

Arrived around 8ish and went straight towards the shuttles to catch a ride directly to our hotel. By the time we arrived and checked into the hotel, Hotel Metropolis (cheapest rate in downtown SF Union Square at CDN $120/night), I was craving for a cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory! I wish we had one in Vancouver but then I would not be able to control myself and would have to eat cheesecake every weekend. That is not good cos these cheesecakes are HUGE and full of fat and sugar and probably a zillion calories! Gosh, the restaurant was super busy and packed, we didn't want to wait so we ordered a cheesecake to go. It was a long night and although we wanted to explore Union Square (super busy kind of like Robson street in Vancouver), we were both really tired and decided to call it a night.

Saturday

In the morning, we woke up super early (not on purpose) cos we could not sleep! Our hotel is on the border of expensive downtown and Hastings Street, Vancouver which meant we had some loud and crazy neighbors. It was so noisy throughout the nite and really strange how different it was in front of our hotel. Walking out the front entrance, you must go left cos left is the high end shopping district and right is Hastings Street. Since we were up early, we decided to do a bit of exploring in our neighborhood, we were thinking about taking the trolley to Fisherman's Wharf but the cost is $5 and we didn't think the walk would be too bad. Gosh, did we ever do a lot of walking! We walked from Union Square, Market street to check out a couple of stores and then up the hill towards Fisherman's Wharf. Not realizing how far and wide downtown SF is, we ended up walking through Chinatown which was pretty cool and the architecture in the city is amazing. So much to see but our goal was to get ourselves to Fisherman's Wharf. It seems that we were walking thru Chinatown for a long time but we finally got directions towards Fisherman's Wharf. But instead, we ended up walking thru another neighborhood, Italy town where we saw more amazing buildings, restaurants and cute little boutiques. Again, we asked for direction and we were close! We ended up walking thru another neighborhood filled with really beautiful homes, heritage homes and we could feel and smell the ocean and knew we were close. The buildings were beautiful, a mix of modern and vintage, keeping the city's heritage. Finally, we arrived at Fisherman's Wharf and it wasn't too busy cos it was still early but the the crowds of tourists were forming. We walked through Pier 39 (Fisherman's Wharf) to check out all the shops and restaurants, we wanted to eat lunch there so we needed to see what suited our tastebuds and within our budget! We ended up a restaurant called Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, yes like the movie, Forrest Gump. Mostly known for shrimp, other items are served as well. We split a shrimp platter - which was amazing and both of us ordered a side, Jas ordered a side of veggies while I opted to go with a seafood chowder. After lunch, we decided to figure our way back to Union Square and do some shopping! We managed to figure out a route back to union square by taking a street car back downtown for $1.50 instead of spending $5 on the trolley. Our driver was like a mini tour guide, he gave us a bit of history or story to every stop we took. It was really cool! Once we reached our stop, we got off at Virgin Records cos VR is closing down (all the North American VRs are!) and a 30% off everything sale was going on in the entire store. We did some more shopping and wandering around Union Square ending up at Westfield, a huge shopping mall! Lots of stores and gosh all the damage that could be done! Lucky for us, we did so much walking and not that much shopping, I only ended up picking some souvenirs, gifts for the girls, Pumas for myself and a Hollister top on SALE - woot woot! Hollister in Vancouver had NADA on sale :( After a very long day, we decided it was time to head back to the hotel to rest up before the reception at Freeman's place in Oakland. We figured out how to take the BART to Freeman's place and it wasn't that bad nor too far of a walk but it seems that no one in Oakland walks from the station. We could see why, it wasn't particularly the safest or nicest neighborhood and there was NO ONE out walking! Once we arrived in their neighborhood, we found Freeman's loft and it was amazing! The loft is a huge corner unit with a private roof deck which had some amazing views and there was so much space up there, they even purchased a heat lamp for this occasion. Thank goodness for that cos it can get pretty chilly in the evening. We had a lovely time and meeting all of Freeman's close friends and family. It was a small and intimate gathering and we felt so honoured to be there and be part of this beautiful event.

Sunday

Again, we woke up early to beautiful sunny weather in SF while Vancouver was cold and wet! Atho it was early, we decided to wait until lunch before hitting Jack in the Box for a sourdough jack and curly fries! Last nite, we made lunch plans with Free but in the morning plans had changed, it was decided that we would meet Tanya and friend for brunch and Free would meet us after at their Boba tea house, Tapioca Express in Berkeley. After JB, we headed over to Westfield to exchange the Hollister top (picked out the wrong size!!) and raced back to the hotel cos Tanya had rang us on Jas's cell, she was waiting at the hotel. Once in the car, we were not quite sure where to go cos Tanya and Gene wanted brunch but they also wanted to show us around the Marina. The drive to the Marina was really nice and San Fran is quite a beautiful city, once at the Marina, we noticed how similar it is to the OC or Yaletown with beautiful and snotty people and lots of cute boutiques. Gene found a place for brunch and it was super packed! Good brunch and great company, once we finished our meal, we decided to go for a walk and walk down to the ocean. I took some great scenic photos of the Golden Gate bridge and after the walk, which again was a lot of walking, we decided to head over to Berkeley for Boba tea. At Tapioca Express, we ordered some boba tea and appy's like fried chicken, mmm delish! Free had to drop off his cousins at the SF airport so he left first and we made plans to meet him for dinner. Tanya had a bit of work to do before leaving the tea house so Jas and I wandered down the street to this quaint little bookstore and I picked up a bibliography of Christian Dior by Marie France Pochna for only $10 USD. We decided to head back to Free and Tanya's loft to rest and relax on their couch. We girls chatted and talked and tried to decide where to have dinner, Lake (Free's wife) wanted asian and Tanya was craving hamburgers, we decided to Thai food. Gene had to catch a plane back to Los Angeles so he did not end up joining us for dinner and Free got back late (due to traffic coming back from SFO) so we snacked on nuts while Free took a quick power nap. The Thai restaurant we went to was quite yummy and the dishes were pretty interesting, a good mix of flavours but def not authentic thai, more asian fusion thai but still very yummy. After dinner, Free & Lake insisted on driving us back to the hotel and we got a scenic ride back, stopping by Treasure Island for some beautiful shots of the Oakland Bay bridge. It was really really cold but I did get one good shot! It was a great Sunday and it was so awesome spending it with such great people!

Monday

We checked out of the hotel a bit early (11ish) and decided to have a hearty American breakfast at a 50's dinner close to the hotel. Gosh, was it ever greasy but so good and oh so much food! We didn't have any plans so we just did a bit more wandering around Union Square, Free was suppose to meet us earlier but he didn't have a car and realize he had to meet the plumber which meant he wouldn't make it out until after 2pm. He really wanted to see us before we left so he made every effort to meet with us. We decided on having an early dinner so we could catch each other before we left for Vancouver. Our plane was due to leave at 7.55pm and we planned on taking the BART to the airport cos it would only cost us $4 where taking a taxi (at least $45) or a shuttle ($20) was a bit too much. Jas and I walked around Union Square a bit more and explored more shops, we didn't realize how many stores there were! We didn't buy anything of course cos most of these stores are high end designer stores. After shopping and walking, we decided to head over to Macy's and work our way up to the Cheesecake Factory located on the rooftop. I had to have one last cheesecake before we left SF cos we don't have cheesecake THIS GOOD in Vancouver. Free finally called us to say he was heading down by BART to meet up with us, we told him we were at the CF and he could join us there. Thank goodness, we decided to eat a bit before we left even tho we weren't that hungry, I did not realize how late it was going to be by the time we reached home! Of course, I had a cheesecake before we left but the portions (even lunch size) were humongous so thank goodness Free finished my pizza and I took the last 1/3 of my cheesecake to go. I figured I could enjoy it while I was waiting for our flight but I ended up throwing it out before checking in! Oh well, it was probably a good idea not to finish it! It was a lovely weekend and def not long enough! I am very excited for Free and Lake and wish them all the luck, happiness, prosperity and love in the world, I'm so glad he found someone so perfect for him cos he is awesome!!! Will def need to go back and spend more time in San Fran, maybe a family vacation :) Lots of photos but haven't edited them, will try to post them soon!

Ashley & Kent's Big Day

Wow, what a gorgeous but very hot (as high as 30!) day for a wedding!

Kay and I attended both the ceremony in the afternoon and the reception at the Fairmount Waterfront. The ceremony was short and sweet, it was so beautiful and those two look amazing together! Everyone at the ceremony had a chance to take photos with the bride, groom and wedding party and after photo taking, Kay, Jess and I went over to IHOP to eat brunch! Both, Kay and Jess were starving! Both also love IHOP and can eat it every week! I can only do IHOP once a month! After brunch/lunch, we decided it would be easiest if we all got ready for the reception at Jess's condo so she could pick out B's outfit. We headed over to her house first to pick up her items, then over to our place to pick up my items and back over to B's condo. There was a bit of disagreement on what time we should be at the reception and what B should wear but in the end it all worked out. The reception was beautiful and the food was pretty good except that my sirloin steak was not done the way I would have liked it but generally it was a beautiful reception with lots of great people. Sweet and Casual (Sporadic) Wedding!

Tonight, one of my BFFs, Vincent got married! He is officially a grown up! hahaha... many many congrats to him and his new bride, Meryl. We love you both!

It was a small but sweet and casual wedding. The ceremony was held in a really cool looking building in Vancouver, I guess the owners of the building rent it out for whatever you need. Visually the building is pretty cool and funky, looks kind of like a small art museum with office space. It's so like those two to throw something like this together and with all the adventures they've been on together as a couple, it doesn't surprise me that they decided on Monday to get married, Tuesday to let family and close friends know about it and Friday, to hold the ceremony and reception.

Since this was a small gathering, only a few members of each side of the family and a few friends were joined for this very incredibly special event. Vincent can clean up pretty well in a suit! Hahaha, he knows I love him ;) And Meryl, OMG, GORGEOUS!! She had decided on wearing a black dress on her wedding day but thankfully her BFF convinced her to check out Main street and she found a beautiful WHITE dress with black accents. It was lovely, the ceremony was held in the "boardroom" and after the vows and many many photos, it was off to the Indonesia restaurant on Commercial Drive for the reception.

The food was so yummy and there were tons of it! I can't believe this little gem of a restaurant is in my neighborhood and I had no idea! The people who owned the restaurant were really nice and food, just like home made cooking. This is going to be added to our fave restaurant list! After the great food, great conversation and more photos, it was time to open the gift Jas and I bought for the two of them. We know it was a casual wedding and presents were a no no but we couldn't go this without a small gift! Our idea was dessert for two since the two of them threw this together so quickly, we knew they wouldn't have a wedding cake or dessert so we bought them strawberry covered chocolates and a box of chocolates from Godiva, cupcakes by Cupcakes and a bottle of red wine. Hmmm... we know what they will be up to on their wedding night! ;) After dinner, the two of them invited us all over but it was a late night (well late for me, it was 10 pm!) and Kay and I decided to head home.

It was a lovely evening and I am so happy to be apart of it. I love them both dearly and we know these two are great for each other. Now it's time to have some babies!!! :) Enjoy the photos!

Dinner and a party

Tonight, I saw a dear friend whom I haven't seen in a couple of years cos she works in Hong Kong but she is in town for 10 days to visit with her family and soon to be husband. These two have been engaged for a while but it seems they have finally decided on a day (sometime in May) and a destination (Bali, Indonesia, on a beach). She of course, invited Jas and I to fly out there to join them for this wonderful and happy occasion. It would be so nice to fly out there to celebrate her wedding day with her on a hot and sunny beach but I can't afford to fly out there this year. I am trying to pay off a debt and save up for a trip to Haiwaii next year! We had Italian dinner cos that's what Frannie wanted to eat since she cannot have good Italian in HK so we headed over to Commercial Drive for pasta/pizza and appy's. After dinner, we decided to drive over to Kerrisdale to have dessert at this little hidden dessert place that serves such yummy desserts! Fran was trying to avoid a party thrown by her fiance's friends cos she doesn't really like them nor does she want to hang out with them. But we decided drive over there slowly so we could let our dinner settle in before having a rich dessert. We settled in and ordered dessert/tea and caught up some more. I always order the same thing even though there are so many choices. Chocolate Decadent Cake. After a little while, the place was getting a bit crowded and we decided we should probably head out but Kay had just called to say she was heading over to her friend's place from our place. I didn't want her and her friend bussing home this late so I asked Fran if it was ok if we picked them up and drove them over before heading over to the party. She didn't mind, we headed home and she got to see how grown up Kay has become and also visited with my mom. Once we dropped Kay and friend off, we drove through downtown Vancouver so Fran could see how much it had changed. Plus she hadn't seen the new Holt Renfrew store and boy was she in awe. She now has to come downtown at least once to see it before heading back to HK. As we were heading out of downtown, her fiance called to see where we were at and we were actually heading over there. It was somewhat of a boring party only cos I didn't really know anyone and after a little while, Jas and I decided to head home as it was getting late. We are not used to staying until 1.00am! It was a good night and I'm glad I got the chance to see Fran before she heads back cos I didn't get a chance to see her last time! Good Luck Fran!

Shel and Kitty - Wedding and Banquet

What a beautiful day with such beautiful people! Weddings are so romantic, happy, full of love and it is so wonderful to be a part of such a beautiful celebration of loooooove :) It was a beautiful day with the sun shining it's approval on to the lovely couple!

The day started off with the wedding ceremony which I usually do not attend but I felt that Kay and I should be there for Shel and Kitty. Gosh, the wedding ceremony was long, I didn't realize that Kitty was Catholic and although we are very respectful to the religion, Kay and I did not go on our knees to pray nor did we go up for blessings. Apparently, we were lucky and it was a short wedding ceremony although I think an hour and half is quite a long time. It can get longer! Kay and I were a bit confused and we sat on the wrong side, we should have been sitting on Shel's side of the church but Kay and I ended up on Kitty's side! By the end of the ceremony, we were getting hungry and we both had to go to the washroom but did not dare go to the washroom at the church, fear of being flushed to hell! I am an atheist or a nonthesim and had denounced my religion, Anglican, many years ago which really pissed off my mother! But to be in all fairness, I do believe it is one's right to choose their religious beliefs and not be forced upon them. My mother baptized my brother and I when we were babies and we did not get a chance to explore our own religious beliefs. That's just my thoughts. I do believe there is something out there and I do believe in spirituality. Blogging off topic, back to wedding details! After the ceremony, Kay and I headed home for a bit of a break and for some food. We headed over to Oakridge to pick up a wedding card (yes me bad) and did a bit of shopping (lots of great summer stuff on sale! love sidewalk sales!). After Oakridge, we headed home to get ready for the reception which was being held at a Chinese restaurant in Richmond.

The wedding banquet was so much fun! There was so much food and lots of great speeches. We were surprised to sit so close to the wedding table (we were the second table from the front, sitting amongst family and family friends!) We had an awesome view of everything that was happening and we sat with some really cool family friends and the wedding photographers. We learned a lot about photography and boy are those professional cameras HEAVY! Weighing a ton but the shots, amazing, Kay and I got a sneak peek at some of the wedding photos taken that day! Can't wait to see the wedding album, they must have taken over 10,000 shots! Lucky Kay won the table centre pieces and each table had a couple of bottles of their own "branded" wine. By the end of the dinner, there was a really cool surprise, a dessert buffet with the most amazing desserts. Gosh, we were so stuffed but we could not help but try a piece of everything, my fave. is the chocolate cake, yum yum. After a long day and night, we called it a night, there was dancing and a live band playing but Kay and I were pooped, it was 11 o'clock and we really don't know how to ballroom dance :) It was a great night and we feel so lucky to have been part of such a beautiful thing. Thank you Shel and Kitty for letting us share this day with them!
